I'm not sure how to feel about this, considering it isn't helping with Nintendo's "kiddie" image, but this appears to be a new franchise from Nintendo, although a bizarre one that might be interesting.

Shoot. Someone took the video down.

A lot of people think so, and the latest information supports that.

- Nick loves ‘loud’ clothing
- Captain Rainbow uses a yo-yo in his finishing move
- Captain Rainbow is a TV show mascot, and kids aren’t tuning into the program.
- Nick travels to Mimin Island, a place where dreams are said to come true
- instead of Nick’s dreams being granted, Captain Rainbow must grant the wishes of other island inhabitants
- search the island for people to help
- the island is filled with classic Nintendo characters in-need of help (Birdo, NES Golf character, and many more)
- Nick is helped by Hikari, from the Japan-only adventure game Shin Onigashima

This sort of thing is classic Nintendo style and that's done them well for all these years. Nintendo's kiddie franchises account for the best-selling games and best-selling franchises of all time and have taken countless awards over the years, including the kiddie Super Mario Galaxy being last year's Game of the Year according to the majority of gaming publications. If people don't like it they can play something else.

Well said, Sam. I believe you've nailed it. There's a broad range of games for a broad range of gamers, and there's definitely a market for this. If someone isn't personally interested, that's fine, but there are people that would enjoy this sort of game, and if they do then more power to them.
